NFC South Rankings

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers– I have to believe that the defending Super Bowl champions are still the best team in the division. The Bucs had a rocky beginning and middle of the season last year but turned things around when it mattered. They put together an eight game win streak to win the GOAT another Super Bowl ring. The defense still looks dominant and they will impose their will on almost everyone starting with the Cowboys tonight.

Prediction: 14-3

2. New Orleans Saints- Is this the beginning of the Winston era in NOLA? This year will be very telling of what we could see in the future. I think Jameis is in a better situation than he has in Tampa Bay. He had a year to learn under the great Drew Brees, now it’s time to showcase it. Jameis has the talent, it’s all just between the ears for him. This team will go as far as he allows them.

Prediction: 11-6

3. Atlanta Falcons- This year is going to be either be a positive one to build on, or a dumpster fire that keeps burning. Atlanta has lots of promising, young players especially after drafting Kyle Pitts who will be a generational player at the TE position, he’s a freak. The offense has some nice pieces that can be explosive, but can the defense stop anyone or will they continue to blow leads again this season?

4. Carolina Panthers- Carolina is in a great situation, they just need to have some time playing together. Christian McCaffrey and Sam Darnokd could be something special. Also don’t count out Terrance Marshall Jr. who is my pick for one of the sleeper players this season. He makes lots of big plays. The Carolina defense ACTUALLY has some good players, let’s see if they can keep scores respectable and maybe even create some more offensive opportunities.

Prediction: 6-11
