Growing up in the Midwest, I have always admired physical brands of basketball, and this year’s playoffs could bring a great matchup. The playoff seeds aren’t set yet, but with less than two weeks remaining, the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons have secured postseason spots and could be a first round draw. These two teams have met three times in postseason history with the Pistons winning all three matchups. Detroit has a young, gritty team I like a lot, but the high-paced offense Indiana brings might be too much for Detroit if these teams get each other first. Last year the Pacers took down the Bucks in a first round upset as the six seed, now two positions higher, the Pacers would get to host the first two games and really set the tone for the series. This is all wishful thinking, but this is the series the NBA needs. I mean who wouldn’t want to see Cade Cunningham and Tyrese Haliburton go at it kick things off!?
