The Cleveland Cavaliers remain the only perfect team in the NBA after almost three weeks of play. Back-to-back games are hard in the NBA no matter who you have on the schedule, but the last two wins for the Cavs have been a full circle moment for head coach Kenny Atkinson. The Cavs slaughtered Golden State on Friday night where Atkinson spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach winning a title in 2022. Fast forward to Saturday night and Cleveland gets their 11th straight win against the Brooklyn Nets where Atkinson was the head coach from 2016-2020.

The Cavs came out hot, but Brooklyn battled and stayed in the game even leading in the second half and scoring the first 15 points of the half. The Cavs needed a late game rally and that’s exactly what they got. Darius Garland and Caris LeVert both scored eight points in the fourth quarter and clutch baskets from Georges Niang and Ty Jerome helped boost the Wine and Gold down the stretch to a 105-100 win at home. The Cavs are now the 12th team in NBA history to start 11-0 and the third team to win 11 consecutive games to start a season since 1999-2000.
