A little over a week into the new NBA season, only two teams remain undefeated: The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Cleveland Cavaliers. There was already a lot of pressure and high expectations for the Thunder, but the Cavs are also putting the league on notice and Evan Mobley has been a huge part of their success.
Through five games Mobley is averaging 18 points, nine rebounds and shooting over 50 percent from the field. Mobley being able to get to the free throw line and hitting shots from behind the arc have been just a couple of bright spots from an already promising Cleveland Cavaliers team that could produce multiple All-Stars this year and give Mobley his first time selection. He’s off to a good start holding his own against his peer big men, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Davis in back-to-back games.
