1. 2015-2016 Cleveland Cavaliers- The shot, the block, coming back from a 3-1 deficit against the 73 win Warriors. There has never been a more important game 7 or championship won in the history of the NBA than the 2016 Cavs. This is the one that cemented LeBron’s legacy and as a top two player of all-time.

2. 2010-2011 Dallas Mavericks- In my opinion, Dirk Nowitzki was the first player to win a championship without another superstar. I think Kawhi and Giannis have now joined this list over the last couple of seasons when they won “solo” championships. Dallas was also down 2-1 in the series and ripped off 3 straight wins. These Mavs also beat a super team Miami Heat at full strength. One of the most impressive championships in league history.

3. 2014-2015 Golden State Warriors- Many would not have this team this high, but it’s only right. These guys changed the landscape of the entire NBA and the way the game is played for all positions, not just point and shooting guards. They beat a depleted Cavs team, but none the less give them credit. No team has ever put up as many 3’s as these guys AND MADE THEM AND WIN! Rare breed of snipers.

4. 2020-2021 Milwaukee Bucks- I’m not a prisoner of the moment since the Bucks just won. Look at the last 10 years in the NBA, besides Dirk, Giannis has been one of the main faces for international players in the NBA and the league is now his. Kris Middleton finally showed up after years of not showing up for his Batman, Giannis. Jrue Holiday also proved to be the best two-way point guard in the league giving the team and extra spark. The Bucks entire team is full of guys who have paid their dues in the basketball world and deserve to be ranked on this list.

5. 2018-2019 Toronto Raptors- Like Dirk, Kawhi was able to win a championship being the only superstar on the team. This was the series we really saw Pascal Siakam step up along with Fred Van Fleet and Kyle Lowry. The Raptors were more balanced and the role players really stepped up and seized the moment. If Kevin Durant played, I imagine the series would have gone to a game 7 or Golden State might have won sooner. Give these Raptors credit for finally winning one for basketball in Canada and stopping the Warriors from the 3 peat.
